New Parents Induction Briefing

Our parent information evening for parents and carers of children starting school in September has now taken place, however you can read our presentation to parents (see link above).

 

Home Visit Dates

Our home visits will be carried out during the dates Thursday 3rd September, Friday 4th September, Monday 7th September and Tuesday 8th September.  Please look out for a communication from us in July with your visit date and approximate time slot, and let us know if you need us to reschedule.

 

Each home visit will last approximately 10-15 minutes.  

You will be informed of who your child's new teacher will be in July via a letter which will be emailed to all parents/carers.

Stay and Play Sessions

We will be hosting "Stay and Play"  sessions in July. 

 

Robins Class

Friday 3rd July 2pm-3pm

 

Blackbirds Class

Friday 10th July 2pm-3pm

 

These sessions provide opportunities to support transition into school, for your child to meet their future classmates, the Year R staff, begin to build relationships and have lots of fun!  

 

 

September Pattern of Entry

All children will transition into school part-time for the first two weeks of the academic year and in full-time from Monday 14th September.  

The new Year R children will be split into two classes, Robins and Blackbirds  with a separate timetable for each group.

 

Wednesday 9th September - Teddy Bear's Story - All Children 2:15pm-3pm

Thursday 10th September - Settling in Day - Blackbirds Class Only - 8:45am-3:15pm

Friday 11th September - Settling in Day - Robins Class Only - 8:45am - 3:15pm

Monday 14th September - All Children Full-time - 8:45am-3:15am

 

Term Dates

We follow the Hampshire County Council term dates, in addition we also have 5 inset days per academic year when the school is closed.  The inset days for for 26/27 will be confirmed soon.
