World Book Day – A Day of Storytelling and Fun! 

We are having a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day in school! Staff dressed up as characters from The Three Billy Goats Gruff, which has caused lots of excitement and laughter! 

As a whole school, in assembly we took part in a story making retelling of the tale. Each class has then explored the story through creative tasks such as junk modelling, bridge building both inside and outside, making puppets, ‘Wanted’ posters, drama and discussion. This afternoon the children will enjoy a range of activities linked to the story, bringing the characters and setting to life in their own unique ways. It is a wonderful day celebrating reading, imagination and the joy of stories! 

The children also enjoyed the special World Book Day menu served up by Ricky and his team!
