STARTING SCHOOL IN YEAR R - SEPTEMBER 2025

The application window to apply for a Year R place in September 2025 is now open with the main application round closing on 15th January 2025.

We welcome applications from families no matter what their postcode or which council area they live in.  

If you live in another council area (ie BCP Council) you are still very welcome to apply for a place here, however, you will need to apply via the council in which you reside, and then name New Milton Infant School as your preferred choice school.

We realise that choosing a school for your child is an important decision.  To help you make the right choice, we will be hosting several parent tours between October and January which will give you the opportunity to have a look around our school, find out about our school values and to ask our Headteacher any questions you may have.

To ensure everyone has a chance to come and visit we have arranged several parent tours with the following dates remaining.

These tours are designed for adults only to attend, so please choose a date that is convenient for your childcare arrangements.

APPLYING FOR AN IN-YEAR SCHOOL PLACE

In year applications are when you want to move your child from one school to another part way through their time at a school, it may be you have moved home (including from overseas), or you may be unhappy with your child's current school.

We welcome all applications for children who have recently moved to the area or whose parents are considering moving schools no matter what your residential postcode or council area.

Applications for in-year school places must be made via Hampshire County Council's Schools Admissions page.

If you are applying for an in-year school place (ie not a school phase transfer) over a school holiday period, please complete an application form for a school place via Hampshire County Council’s Admissions Page as usual, and we will contact you to confirm our offer of a school place on our first day back in school.
