When will my child start school?

Most children start reception full-time in September after their fourth birthday.  For example if your child turns 4 in June, they'll usually start school in September that same year. 

If your child was born between 1st September 2021 and 31st August 2022 they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2026.

When can I apply for a School Place?

The main round application window to apply for a Year R place for September 2026 opens on 1st November 2025.  The main round application window closes on 15th January 2026.

We welcome applications from families no matter what their postcode or which council area they live in.  
 

The application process for a Year R place varies depending on the council area you live in, as you must make an application with the County Council that you reside in.

School Tours

We recognise that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision.

To help make this decision easier, we will be hosting several parent tours over the Autumn term to coincide with the application window.  These tours will consist of small groups of parents and you will meet our Mrs Wake our Headteacher, and will have the opportunity to ask questions as you look around our lovely school and grounds.

Booking is essential as spaces on each tour are limited to a small number of parents.
